Rail Passes

Travelling within Europe does not necessarily mean flights. Europe has high speed trains that can take you through fantastic scenery that you cannot see from a plane.  There are various rail-passes and each one has its own rules. You can get a consecutive-day pass or a flexi pass and another pass is for two or more people who are travelling together.
The continuous pass lets you ride anywhere you want for however many days you pass covers. You can stop where ever you want and even take a flight to another country and then pick up a train again.  You could catch flights to London and stay for a few days and then jump back on the train. In this case the flexipass would be the better choice.

If you are travelling with a group, the saverpass will save you money.  When you purchase this pass it will have all the names of those in the group. The group can be from two to five travellers but this group cannot split up and head in different directions.
You will enjoy the freedom you have to get around but know that many of the international, long distance and fast train will require reservations.  Overnight trains too will need reservations made in advance.
